A&T Systems wins NOAA contract to update satellite controller communications system

A&T Systems has won a 5-year contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to replace the existing voice system at five sites and then maintain the system: Suitland, MD; Fairbanks, AK; Wallops Island, VA; Fairmont, WV; Greenbelt, MD. The Satellite Controller Communications System (SCCS) serve as the NOAA satellite operator telecommunications system for mission operations at each site’s Satellite Operations Control Center, allowing NOAA operators to communicate with other operators at NOAA and partner sites. The SCCS will also help NOAA operators record, store, and replay voice conversations so they can resolve mission anomalies.
